Parts theft Coach & long-route transport
Workshop parts leaving without job cards
Shohagh Paribahan (Pvt) Ltd. · Coach & long-route transport
120+ coaches, 4 depots
গ্যারেজে পার্টস বের হয়ে যাচ্ছিল — জব কার্ড ছাড়া ইস্যু বন্ধ করতে VMS।
Garage store stock shrank — but completed maintenance jobs did not justify the issues.
Parts now leave the store only when a coach and job card exist — auditors finally agree with the ledger.
Shohagh Paribahan (Pvt) Ltd.

The challenge
A large paribahan operator maintained coaches at multiple depots. Storekeepers issued parts on verbal request. Auditors found fast-moving SKUs missing with no vehicle registration, no workshop job number, and no return record.
What went wrong
- Monthly store variance on tyres and batteries above policy limit
- Same part SKU issued twice to one coach within seven days
- Mechanics signed paper chalan with no digital job card
- No photo or video when high-value parts fitted
Before VMS
Verbal issue from mechanics. Paper chalan. No trip or coach link.
After Autonemo
Digital job card, approval over threshold, depot exception email.
How it was investigated
Inventory and garage modules were enabled per depot. Every issue required an open job card tied to registration and odometer. Store reports were compared to trip and maintenance history.
Rollout timeline
- Phase 1
Job card mandatory for tyre, battery, filter SKUs.
- Phase 2
Store issue tied to registration + open workshop order.
- Phase 3
Weekly exception: parts issued vs jobs completed.
Solution with Autonemo VMS Pro
- Job-card mandatory parts issue from central store
- Registration + trip link on every workshop transaction
- Supervisor approval for items above BDT threshold
- Optional dashcam snapshot on bay entry for dispute review
Technology used
VMS modules
Outcomes
- Store shrinkage on tracked SKUs reduced after first audit cycle
- Repeat issues tied to named vehicles instead of “general workshop”
- Depot managers received weekly parts-vs-jobs exception list
